Hey everyone! As an Amazon Influencer, I get to test out a lot of glass, but I was particularly excited to get my hands on the Aquilifer TP 1-8×24 LPVO. If you’ve been looking to bridge the gap between a red dot and a long-range scope without breaking the bank, this Second Focal Plane (SFP) optic might just be your new best friend.
Right out of the box, the Aquilifer TP feels incredibly sturdy. It’s got that rugged, matte finish that looks great on any rail. But more importantly, it’s built to survive. It’s waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof. I’ve taken this out in some damp morning conditions, and the internal nitrogen purging kept the view crystal clear throughout the session.
The beauty of an LPVO (Low Power Variable Optic) is the versatility. At 1x magnification, you can shoot with both eyes open, much like a traditional red dot, which is perfect for close-quarters drills. When you crank it up to 8x, the clarity remains surprisingly sharp for a scope at this price point. It allowed me to ping steel targets at 300 yards with total confidence.
One of the standout features is the 11 levels of red illumination.
The turrets have a nice, tactile click to them, making adjustments in the field easy. I found that it held zero perfectly after 200 rounds of .223. The eye relief is generous, which is a huge plus for quick target acquisition. You don't have to struggle to find the "sweet spot" when mounting your rifle quickly.
Is the Aquilifer TP 1-8×24 worth it? Absolutely. Whether you are a weekend hunter, a competitive shooter, or just someone looking for a reliable home defense optic, this scope punches way above its weight class.
Pros:
If you're looking for a high-performance LPVO that won't cost more than your rifle, I highly recommend checking this one out on Amazon!
